Orlando, FL - February 9, 2009. The latest training conference for AVP (Association of Video Professionals) just wrapped up in Orlando, Florida. Mike Roe and the AVP board again had the pleasure of planning another great conference where the members learn new technology, new ways to promote their businesses, and learn from peers in the world of professional video.
Video and Final Cut Pro Guru, Larry Jordan , was on hand to teach advanced editing techniques and tricks to unlock some of the hidden secrets in Final Cut Pro Studio. Larry Jordan is a producer, director, editor, consultant and trainer with over 25 years video production and post-production experience. A member of both the Directors Guild of America and the Producers Guild of America. Jordan is recognized as one of the Top 90 Corporate Producers in America and is frequently a featured speaker at trade shows, industry events and user groups around the U.S.
Dane McKendrick "enlightened" the conference with his composition and lighting class. He started in broadcasting before he was fully finished with puberty. While still in high school, he landed a job as production slave on a weekly TV show airing on CBS. His 'meteoric' rise in the world of broadcast saw him working over 120 hrs/weeks as a shooter, editor and graphic designer eventually becoming a DP and episode director. Since then he has worked on over one thousand productions. He has traveled throughout S.E. Asia and South America shooting documentaries, co-produced and DP'ed multi-camera concerts of BRAVO-TV, created award winning commercials, and has produced a hand full of TV pilots.
Enriching DVD Studio Pro and Final Cut Pro with Adobe products were handled by Klark Perez and Mary Plummer of InVision Digital and Media Arts . Klark is a Master Trainer and has taught classes and demos for Apple at major industry trade shows including; DVexpo, WEVA and GV Expo. He has a Masters of Fine Arts in Film Producing, from the University of Southern California film school, USC - Peter Stark Producers Program. The Association of Video Professionals (AVP) was founded in 2006 by a group of video studio owners who saw the need to help video companies grow their business. AVP was built from the ground up by it’s members and led by it’s Board of Directors, who have solid video and corporate startup experience. AVP exists not only to help with business techniques, marketing, and technical training but also to partner with it’s members and give them the tools they need to operate thriving and successful businesses.
