Lilburn, GA - Mike Roe Video Services' CEO Mike Roe was once again involved with the planning and organizing of the 6th Annual Music on Main event. This year's event benefiting Dream House for Medically Fragile Children raised more than $30,000 despite the bad economy. Famous Daves Barbeque and Hit the Beach returned again this year as well as many of the volunteers and supporters from years past. Tom Sullivan from Atlanta and Company was this year's emcee.
Lisa Bliss and Candice Jenness were parent guest speakers at the event and helped explain the extremely complex healthcare issues that their children deal with on a daily basis. "These families are living testimonies of how, with on-going community support, these kids with special healthcare needs can live at home, and families can stay together", states Dream House founder, Laura Moore.
Dream House relies solely on private financial support via fund raising events like Music on Main, corporate and individual donations, grants and community service initiatives.
Dream House is a 501(c)3 children's charity that trains families and communities to help medically fragile children thrive in a home setting instead of being institutionalized for life. They have served over 900 medically fragile children in 40 Georgia counties.
