Lilburn, GA – Mike Roe Video Services attended AVP’s (Association of Video Professionals) Annual Fall Conference held in Atlanta, GA, September 12-16, 2007.
Almost 30 studios nationwide gathered together for a fun and intense training provided by some of the country’s top most sought after experts in video production and editing. Final Cut Pro guru and broadcast video production expert, Larry Jordan, was on hand to help AVP studios get better at their editing businesses as well as be more efficient with their editing systems. Two-time Grammy Award winner Frank Dorritie taught how to produce great audio for video. Clay Asbury, certified Apple trainer, taught on intermediate and advanced Final Cut Pro, as well as Soundtrack Pro and PhotoShop.
“We could not have asked for any better instructors. To have all these high caliber trainers together in the same place at the same time is more than we could have hoped. These are some of the best instructors I have had the pleasure of meeting”, states Mike Roe, CEO of Mike Roe Video Services, Inc. and Secretary of AVP.
The conference was not all technical. Action International Coach Bill Evileth was on hand to help AVP studios to not fall into the common traps that force many small businesses to shutdown. Search Engine Optimization is not something you would expect at a video conference, but Larry Weaver dispelled many misconceptions about how search engines list web sites and how to get ranked in the competitive realm of the Internet.
