Lilburn, GA – Mike Roe Video Services, Inc. won 2 Hanley award (s) at the 6th annual Home Video Studio (HVS) Getaway in Las Vegas, Nevada. HVS is the largest network of independently owned video companies, with almost 90 studios located throughout the U.S. and one in Sweden.
Studio owners Mike and Linnea Roe submitted their video work in (several) of the 32 Hanley award categories, which are similar to the Oscars awarded in the movie industry. Studio owners from across the world entered to win Best Video Production, Best Documentary, and Best of Show to name a few types of honors. The Hanley’s, named after the founder and president of Home Video Studio, are in recognition of a studio’s work during the past year.
Mike Roe Video Services were among the 37 nominees from almost 530 entries. Of the 3 nominations Mike Roe Video received, the studio won 2 awards for its work in the Company Trailer & FamilyTime categories. The Company Trailer, found at the end of videos they produce, describes what services Mike Roe Video Services offer. The Christmas Card DVD, winner of the FamilyTime category, is a product that Mike Roe Video offers its customers who wish to create a new kind of Christmas card, incorporating audio, video and photos, in the form of a DVD. The 3rd nomination, which finished in the top 3, was a video produced for Dream House for Medically Fragile Children. This video was produced for Lilburn’s "Music on Main", a benefit concert for Dream House, and continues to be shown for promotional purposes.
